Alright, so check this out. Today, I'm diving into my little adventure with a pressure washer lance. Sounds fancy, right? But trust me, it's all about getting things sparkling clean with minimal effort.

It all started last weekend. My patio was looking rough, like seriously rough. Green algae everywhere, dirt caked on, you name it. I'd been putting it off for ages, dreading the thought of scrubbing it all by hand. Then I remembered I had a pressure washer tucked away in the garage.

First things first, I dragged the pressure washer out. It's a pretty standard model, nothing too crazy. I made sure all the connections were tight, hooked up the hose, and plugged it in. Now, this is where the lance comes in. My pressure washer came with a few different nozzles, but I wanted something with a bit more oomph. I'd seen these adjustable lances online that let you switch between a wide fan spray and a concentrated jet.

So, I ordered one. It arrived a couple of days later – a shiny new pressure washer lance with a bunch of different settings. Looked pretty straightforward to attach. I unscrewed the old nozzle, screwed on the lance, and bam! Ready to rock.

Now for the fun part. I turned on the water, flipped the switch on the pressure washer, and gave it a test run. The lance worked like a charm! I started with a wider fan spray to loosen up the dirt and algae on the patio. You could see the grime just melting away. Seriously satisfying.

Then, for the really stubborn spots, I switched to the concentrated jet. Man, that thing packed a punch! It blasted away all the remaining dirt and left the patio looking almost brand new. I even used it to clean up the garden furniture – chairs, table, the whole shebang.

A couple of things I learned along the way:

  • Wear eye protection! Seriously, you don't want to get blasted in the face with dirty water.
  • Start with a low pressure setting and gradually increase it until you find the sweet spot. You don't want to damage anything.
  • Don't stand too close to what you're cleaning. The pressure can be surprisingly strong.

All in all, the pressure washer lance was a game-changer. It made cleaning the patio so much faster and easier than doing it by hand. Plus, it's kinda fun to watch all the dirt disappear. If you're looking for a way to spruce up your outdoor space, I highly recommend giving one a try. You won't regret it.

Next up: I'm thinking about tackling the driveway. Wish me luck!
