Alright, so check this out, I'm gonna walk you through how I rigged up a garden hose high pressure washer. It's not gonna be like those fancy store-bought ones, but it'll definitely give you a boost when you're trying to clean stuff around the house.

First things first, I grabbed my garden hose. Nothing special, just a regular ol' hose I use for watering the plants.

Then I went digging in my garage and found a spray nozzle that had different settings. The key here is to find one that can do a "jet" or "stream" setting. That's what's gonna give you the pressure.

I screwed the spray nozzle onto the end of the hose. Make sure it's on there tight! You don't want it popping off when you turn the water on.

Next, I turned on the water at the spigot. Not full blast at first, just a little bit to get the hose filled up. You wanna squeeze the trigger on the nozzle to let the air out too.

Once the hose was full of water, I cranked the water up all the way at the spigot. Then I adjusted the nozzle to the "jet" or "stream" setting. Bam! Instant (kinda) high pressure washer.

Now, don't expect this thing to strip paint or anything. It's not THAT powerful. But it's definitely got more oomph than just a regular hose.

I used it to clean off my patio furniture.

  • It blasted away all the bird poop.
  • Got rid of the grime that had built up over the winter.

I even used it to wash my car. It wasn't perfect, but it got most of the dirt and mud off.

A couple of things I learned:

  • Hold the nozzle close to what you're cleaning for the most pressure.
  • Move the nozzle back and forth in a sweeping motion.
  • Don't use it on anything delicate, like windows or screens. You might damage them.

So, yeah, that's how I made my garden hose high pressure washer. It's cheap, it's easy, and it works pretty well for small jobs. Give it a try!
