My Go With the Pressure Washer Attachment

Okay, so the patio was a real mess. Leaves, dirt, some greenish stuff growing in the corners. Looked terrible. I knew I had that pressure washer attachment I bought a while back, never really used it properly. Figured it was time.

Pulled out the pressure washer, then dug around for the attachment. Found it – it's one of those surface cleaner things, looks like a floor buffer almost. Seemed simple enough.

Getting Started

Connecting it was easy. Just swapped out the regular spray wand tip for this attachment. Snapped right in place on the trigger gun. Filled the washer with gas, hooked up the water hose, the usual stuff.

The Actual Cleaning Part

Fired up the washer. This attachment thing stays flat on the ground. Started moving it across the patio stones. It kinda glides, you know? Much different than just using the wand nozzle.

  • Covered ground way faster.
  • No splashback! Usually, I end up soaking my pants, but this thing kept the water contained underneath it. Big plus.
  • The rotating jets inside did the work. You could hear them whirring away.

It took off most of the surface dirt pretty quick. The green slimy stuff needed a slower pass, had to let it sit over the spot for a second or two longer. Didn't need crazy high pressure, just let the attachment do its thing. I kept the pressure pretty moderate, didn't want to damage the stone or anything.

Was it Worth It?

Yeah, I'd say so. Took way less time than if I'd just used the standard nozzle trying to get an even clean. My back felt better too, less hunching over waving a wand around. The patio looks a hundred times better now. Still needed the regular wand for the edges and tight corners where the round attachment couldn't reach, but for the big flat areas? Definitely the way to go.

So yeah, that attachment? Not just collecting dust anymore. Actually pretty handy.
