Okay, so let me tell you about my adventure with car wash soap and my trusty pressure washer. My car was looking absolutely tragic, caked in who-knows-what from just sitting around. I decided enough was enough, and it was time for a proper clean.

My Setup and First Steps

• The Pre-Rinse: Before any soap touched the car, I gave the whole thing a good blast with just water. I wanted to knock off all the loose dirt, leaves, and whatever else was clinging on. You could see a fair bit of grime just washing away, which was a good start.
• Mixing the Magic Potion: Next up, loading the foam cannon. I unscrewed the bottle from the cannon and poured in the car wash soap. The instructions on the soap bottle were a bit like "add some soap," so I kinda winged it. Poured in what looked like a decent amount, then topped it up with some warm water. Gave it a little swirl to mix, but not too much to make it all bubbles inside the bottle.
• Foam Party!: I attached the foam cannon to the end of my pressure washer wand. This was the moment of truth. I pointed it at the car and squeezed the trigger. And man, oh man, it was impressive! Thick, clingy foam started shooting out, just like you see in those fancy car wash videos. I took my time with this, making sure to get into all the crevices, under the mirrors, around the badges – everywhere that foam could hide. You really have to be thorough here.

The Aftermath and My Thoughts

The Results: Once all the soap was rinsed away, I could already see a huge difference. The car was looking way cleaner. The paint actually had a bit of a shine to it again, which was great to see. The soap definitely helped lift a lot of that stubborn dirt that a simple water rinse wouldn't touch.

What I Learned: It was way less effort than hand washing with a bucket and sponge, that’s for sure. My back was thanking me. The foam cannon made applying the soap super easy and, honestly, kind of enjoyable.

A couple of things to keep in mind, though. You really need to rinse thoroughly. If you leave any soap behind, you’ll end up with streaks once it dries. Ask me how I know! Also, drying is key.
