• Scope Creep Kills: My three-day project? Blew out to a week. Renting just the machine was only half the cost when I added unexpected days and gas.
• Local Groups Beat Corporate Sites: Honestly, small-time guys were less hassle than the big websites with shiny buttons. Less polish, more honest talk. Maybe a bit riskier? But faster answers.

Yeah, I got the job done, barely. But the hunt cost me time I didn’t have and nearly a thousand bucks down the drain from picking wrong the first time. Should’ve planned harder. Rentals look easy until you're buried in fine print and eating ramen noodles to cover the extra days. Lesson learned. Hard.
