Okay, so I've been meaning to get a pressure washer for a while now. My patio was looking pretty rough, and the fence? Don't even get me started. I saw a bunch of different brands, but the Shark ones kept popping up, so I figured I'd give them a shot.

Getting Started

First thing I did was hit up a few stores. I wanted to actually see these things in person, you know? Get a feel for the size and weight. I checked out a couple of the big box stores, and they had a few different Shark models.

I really wanted to make sure I got one that was powerful enough. I mean, what's the point if it can't blast away the grime? I looked at the PSI (that's the pressure, apparently) and the GPM (how much water it uses). The higher the numbers, the more oomph, right?

Making a Choice

After comparing a few, I settled on a mid-range Shark model. It seemed like a good balance of power and price. It wasn't the cheapest, but it definitely wasn't the most expensive either. I figured it would be enough for my patio, fence, and maybe even the car.

The Unboxing

Getting it home was a bit of a workout! That box was heavier than I expected. Once I got it inside, I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas. Everything was packed in there pretty securely. There was the main unit, the hose, the wand, a few different nozzles, and of course, the instruction manual.

Putting It Together

Assembly was surprisingly easy. I'm not the handiest person, but even I managed to put it together without too much trouble. The instructions were pretty clear, with pictures and everything. Basically, you just connect the hose, the wand, and pick a nozzle. I started with the wider spray nozzle, figuring that would be good for the patio.

The First Wash

I hooked it up to my garden hose, plugged it in, and flipped the switch. WHOOSH! This thing had some serious power! I started on a small section of the patio, just to test it out. Man, the dirt and grime just melted away. It was incredibly satisfying to watch.

• The Patio: Totally transformed! It looked almost brand new.
• The Fence: Took a bit longer, because the wood was really weathered, but it made a huge difference.
• The Car: I gave the car a quick rinse too. Worked great for getting off the loose dirt and bugs.

My Thoughts

Honestly, I'm pretty impressed with this Shark pressure washer. It did exactly what I wanted it to do, and it was easy to use. I will use again definitely!
