So, I started this whole thing because, well, my roof looked nasty. Seriously, it was covered in all sorts of gunk - moss, algae, you name it. First, I did a simple search just seeing what was out there. Loads of options popped up, and honestly, it was a bit overwhelming.

After the initial shock of all the choices, I started to narrow things down. I looked at websites. I wanted to know what they did. I focused on:

• Their experience. how long have they been working?
• What methods they used. Did they use harsh chemicals? Or something more eco-friendly?
• Did they have pictures of the work. I am a person who trust Picture.

I made a list of maybe five or six companies that seemed promising. I didn't have time to check out twenty different places, you know?

Making Some Calls

Then came the phone calls. I'm not a huge fan of phone calls, but I wanted to get a feel for these companies. I asked them about:

• Pricing. how much should I pay for it?
• Scheduling. when can they work?
• Their process. I wanted a good look at them.

Some were super helpful and answered all my questions. Others, not so much. It was pretty easy to weed out a few based on those calls alone.

Getting the Job Done

Finally, I picked a company. I made a time to work, and I watched how they clean my roof carefully.

The difference was amazing! My roof looked brand new. It was a good lesson in not putting things off, and sometimes, it's really worth it to call in the professionals.
