Cleaning Companies and Carpet Powder: Vacuuming Included?

Okay, so the other day I was dealing with this carpet powder situation. You know, the kind you sprinkle on to freshen things up? Well, I'd used a bit too much, and it was kinda caked into the carpet fibers. I was wondering if my regular cleaning company would be able to get it all out when they came for their scheduled clean.
First, I grabbed my own vacuum, just a regular old thing, and went over the area a few times. I figured I'd try to get up as much of the loose powder as possible before the professionals came in. Honestly, it didn't do a ton, but it felt like a good first step.
My Cleaning Process
- Sprinkled the powder. Maybe a little too enthusiastically.
- Realized my mistake. Oops.
- Used my own vacuum. Got some, but not all.
Then, when the cleaning company arrived, I pointed out the spot to them and explained what happened. I just straight up asked, "Hey, can you guys get this carpet powder out? I used a little too much."
They took a look and assured me it was no problem. They had these heavy-duty vacuums, way more powerful than mine, and special attachments. They got to work, and I watched them go over the area multiple times, really focusing on the spot with the excess powder.
After they were done, I inspected the carpet. Seriously, I got down on my hands and knees and looked closely. And you know what? It was gone! All of it. They managed to get every last bit of that powder out. I was pretty impressed.
So yeah, from my experience, a good cleaning company with the right equipment will be able to vacuum up carpet powder, even if you've been a bit overzealous with it like I was.
