Okay, so I've been meaning to get my carpets cleaned for, like, forever. Seriously, they were starting to look like a different color entirely. But the big question that kept popping into my head was: do these carpet cleaning companies actually move your furniture? Or am I gonna have to break my back doing it myself?

So, I started by, you know, good old Google. I typed in "carpet cleaning near me" and a bunch of options popped up. I checked out a few websites, looked at some reviews – the usual drill.

Then, I started making some calls. I just straight-up asked them, "Hey, do you guys move furniture, or is that on me?"

The first company I called was pretty straightforward. The lady on the phone said, "Yeah, we move most furniture, like sofas, chairs, and tables. But we don't touch the big stuff, like pianos or super heavy bookshelves." That sounded reasonable enough.

The second one was a bit different. They said they'd move "light" furniture, but anything heavier, I'd have to move it myself or pay extra. Hmm, not so keen on that.

The third company, though, they were the winners. They said they'd move pretty much everything except for, like, electronics and really fragile stuff. They even said they'd put little protective blocks under the furniture legs after cleaning to prevent any stains from transferring. Sounded like a solid plan!

So, I went with the third company. When they came over, they were super professional. They moved all my sofas, my coffee table, the dining chairs – everything! They even carefully moved my potted plants. I was impressed.

• They started by assessing everything, taking notes to return the furniture.

• After they finished cleaning, they put everything back exactly where it was.
• And yeah, those little protective blocks under the furniture legs? Genius.

Seriously, it was such a relief not having to lug all that furniture around myself. My back definitely thanked me for it. I feel so happy that I finally doing my carpets cleaned.
