Getting the House Spruced Up

Okay, so the other day I looked at my house, really looked, and thought, man, this place needs a good scrub. The siding had that green tinge starting up, especially on the north side, and the windows? Let's just say looking through them was getting blurry, and not because of my eyes.

I figured it was time for both jobs: needed the grime blasted off the siding and the windows done properly. Doing it myself? Nah, not this time. Too much work, and honestly, I don't have a power washer or the long ladders for the high windows.

The quotes came in. Yeah, they varied a bit. Some charged per window, some had a package deal for washing and windows. Generally seemed like the more windows, or the harder they were to reach, the more it cost, which makes sense. It wasn't super cheap, but felt necessary.

Making the Choice and Getting it Done

I went with the third company, the chatty guy's crew. They weren't the absolute cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either. I just got a better vibe from them on the phone, like they knew their stuff and cared a bit more. Plus, I liked that they mentioned cleaning the sills and frames.

Scheduled a day. They gave me a window for arrival, pretty standard stuff. On the day, the truck pulled up right on time. Two guys hopped out, looked professional.
