Okay, let me tell you about this little adventure I had with my pressure washer the other day. I was all set to blast the grime off the patio, got the machine out, hooked up the water, grabbed my favorite spray gun... and then, trouble. The hose I had just wouldn't connect to the gun. We looked at the hose fitting – yep, seemed like that M22 screw type. Then looked at the gun. He pulled out a couple of small brass adapters from a drawer. Putting It All Together

Back in the garage, I got ready to connect everything. First, wiped down the threads on the hose and the gun, just to make sure no dirt would mess up the seal. You always want clean connections.

• Carefully screwed the correct end onto the pressure washer hose. Hand-tightened it, then gave it just a little extra snug with a wrench. Didn't want to overtighten and strip the brass, but definitely wanted it sealed.

Everything felt solid. The adapter fit snugly between the hose and the gun, no wobbling.

I watched the connection points like a hawk, fully expecting a little spray or at least a drip. But guess what? Nothing! It held perfectly. The connection was totally dry.
