Water Hose Attachment Pressure Washer: Easy Guide for Beginners

Alright, so I messed around with my pressure washer today and figured I'd share how I hooked up a water hose to it. It's not rocket science, but maybe this'll help someone out there.
First off, I grabbed my pressure washer. It's a pretty basic model, nothing fancy. Then I located the water inlet – usually a green thingy where the garden hose screws on.
Next up, the garden hose. Make sure it's a decent one, not all cracked and leaky. I unscrewed it from the spigot outside, gave it a quick rinse to get rid of any dirt, and made sure the rubber washer inside the hose end was still there. That washer is important – it stops leaks!
Now, the actual connection. I carefully screwed the garden hose onto the water inlet on the pressure washer. Important: Don't overtighten it! Just snug it up 'til it's good and firm. If you wrench it on too hard, you'll strip the threads and then you're screwed.
Okay, with the garden hose hooked up, time for the high-pressure hose. One end goes onto the spray gun – usually a quick-connect fitting. Push it in 'til it clicks. The other end of the high-pressure hose goes onto the pressure washer itself, again, usually a quick-connect. Same deal, push 'til it clicks. Give both ends a tug to make sure they're locked in place. Don’t wanna have that thing flying off under pressure!
Almost there! Now, turn on the water at the spigot. Don't blast it full-throttle right away. Open it slowly and let the water run through the garden hose and into the pressure washer.
Before you start the pressure washer, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to bleed any air out of the system. You'll hear it sputtering for a second or two, then a steady stream of water will come out. Once that happens, you're good to go.
Fired up the pressure washer and…boom! High-pressure cleaning action! Used it to clean my patio furniture, which was covered in grime. Worked like a charm.
One little hiccup: I had a tiny leak where the garden hose connected to the pressure washer. Turns out the rubber washer in the hose end wasn't sealing properly. So I swapped it out with a new one and tightened it a little more. Leak fixed! That’s why I always keep a pack of those rubber washers handy.
Anyway, that’s it. Water hose to pressure washer, done. Hope that helps somebody!
